old no doubt and sublime played together a lot, in fact Gwen Stefanie from no doubt played a lot of songs with sublime [i saw red], and rancid formerly known as Operation Ivy [which was possibly the greatest ska/punk band in history] didn't play much ska, but operation ivy did.

all great points, but dont forget that the whole point of ska is to mix cultures and music. Dont harp on the bands that are still mixing and keeping things everchanging. I do agree that many bands like streetlight have gone too far off of what ska is supposed to sound like. oh and by the way great vid!

rancid and sublime do/did NOT suck, they were commonly misplaced into the genre of ska by the listners. they never claimed to make ska music. and just because they dont doesnt mean they suck. and streetlight may have gone a little far from the meaning of ska, but they are still followers of it and we have to show them respect. as long as they're not sell-outs like fall-out boy and all that shit...
