| casamusic ::: Favorites please, post Herzog's SPIEL IM SAND (alias GAME IN THE SAND alias GIOCO SULLA SABBIA)! 07-08-02 07:59:25 _____________________________________________________ | |
| staphinfection ::: Favorites You're fucking dumb. Go actually read for a change, instead of basing your opinion on just watching TV or boobtube. Read Rollins' autobiography, and maybe then you'll see that this former frontman for Black Flag had a fucked up early life and is lucky to be alive today and doing so well. 07-08-03 20:14:19 _____________________________________________________ | |
| GoblinGirl ::: Favorites I know about Rollins's early life, and yes, it was fucked up. Many entertainers/artists/people have had fucked up early lives other than him, they overcame, and so did he. Good for all of them. I never trashed Rollins, I just don't think he's the greatest thing to walk the planet like a lot of people. I still don't think he's terribly insightful. You act like I'm a right wing Rollins basher, and I'm not even close. 07-08-04 01:52:24 _____________________________________________________ | |
| slicknicknirvana ::: Favorites Herzog should hang out with 50 cent! 07-08-04 21:52:37 _____________________________________________________ | |
| Johnny6666 ::: Favorites Goblin Girl, Excellent comment. I don't find Rollins insightful, either. He's yet to develop an interview style, nor the ability to draw material from interviewees in a more organic fashion. 07-08-07 03:40:00 _____________________________________________________ | |
| ericssson ::: Favorites Werner Herzog is the KING of movies 07-08-07 18:26:02 _____________________________________________________ | |
| GoblinGirl ::: Favorites Thanks, Johnny6666. I don't hate Rollins, but I don't find him to be this incredibly brilliant guy either. He's good at promoting himself, he loves doing interviews, but he doesn't conduct them very well. 07-08-07 23:03:58 _____________________________________________________ | |
| Johnny6666 ::: Favorites Goblingirl, Yes, in interviews Rollins seems to have certain questions outlined, and finds it difficult to depart from them in any significant way. I'm sure his manner is just a result of genuine enthusiasm, but his interviews never proceed past question/answer into legitimate conversations, and thus always seem somewhat rigid. It's a shame, because Herzog is a brilliant speaker and conversationalist, and Rollins does appear to be out of his depth. Nice that he tries, though. 07-08-08 03:25:12 _____________________________________________________ | |
| GoblinGirl ::: Favorites Rollins is out of his league with Werner, who is really a true legend and brilliant man. He does show Werner respect, though. Rollins is always a bit rigid (here and in his "spoken word"), and doesn't seem capable of getting into anything too deep other than stating rather obvious things. 07-08-08 22:31:34 _____________________________________________________ | |
