The entire set of beliefs of Christianity and all religions are completely illogical yet gather a following with popular ideas like heaven which entice people to blindly follow. Life after death has been around for thousands of years before Christianity mirroring Christian ideas about living a "sinless" life to be rewarded afterwards.
