| jdjacobs1228 ::: Favorites 2007-10-18 10:36:00 You may be right. I love VH, but I have trouble with no Mike. And Dave just kills me now. Not that Sammy would be any better. Just a old fan wishing it was still '84! __________________________________________________ | |
| dkstar222 ::: Favorites 2007-10-17 20:30:54 for someone who thinks they suck, you watch an awful lot of their videos, and post comments. whats up? can you resist, and just not go to the videos? or -- maybe..JUST MAYBE.. you are a CLOSET fan?!?!?!?!? __________________________________________________ | |
| jdjacobs1228 ::: Favorites 2007-10-17 20:06:36 They suck. Sure Eddie is rockin but Dave sucks. They are 15 years too late. But suckers will pay the 150 bucks to hear them. What ever. __________________________________________________ | |

| ersan1970 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 14:53:24 I hope they release new music, include some of the real great Sammy stuff, bring back Mike Anthony. I'm saying this since there were 70,000 fans cheering (two nights in a row) for a broader set list in 2004 - despite the fact that Eddie was miserable on stage. Why not include the greater fan base and sell out say the Soldier Field in Chicago? __________________________________________________ | |
| ersan1970 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 14:47:32 And it is an amazing one!!! It is truly refreshing to hear he is playing a tight-ass solo (something shunned by the music critics since the Seattle thing happened in the 1990s) __________________________________________________ | |
| ersan1970 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 14:45:11 Eat Em an Smile was Dave being Dave-pop-philosopher, rock'n'roll icon, cultural anthropologist. And the band (Sheehan, Vai) let him fully express himself. Even Dave's vocals sounded great solo. Too, bad the general public turned on him, and began ridiculing him. How about the song "Little Aint Enough?" __________________________________________________ | |
| bonzo6880 ::: Favorites 2007-10-07 14:27:18 Shame on EVH for excluding Michael Anthony in favor of his own son. The sound suffers as a result, lacks the punch of the old days and is covered up with heavier drums and thicker guitar in the mix. They might as well play without a bass player, the result is similar. Check out the same songs with MA on bass and it is clear to anyone not in complete denial. It's easy to get nostalgic about hearing the old tunes again, but I'll save my money and continue to wait for a REAL reunion __________________________________________________ | |

| Sideler74 ::: Favorites 2007-10-06 10:15:10 ersan1970: True "I'm The One" is basically one huge guitar solo. :) __________________________________________________ | |
| chrisstatas ::: Favorites 2007-10-06 00:38:17 Can someone slip Wolfie a copy of Dave's solo albums"? Dave did have some real jems on each album (alot more than Sammy's solo shit!) I would love to hear the new VH do "Yankee Rose", "Just Like Paradise" and "Showtime". Or better still some VH's acoustic numbers, Could This Be Magic, Big Bad Bill, Women and Children First. But this is AWESOME!! __________________________________________________ | |
| halestar ::: Favorites 2007-10-04 17:29:52 OK - now I see what you're saying - thanks for the clarification. I couldn't agree more about the new music. __________________________________________________ | |
| ersan1970 ::: Favorites 2007-10-04 11:55:44 Van Halen songs got more sophisticated in time to the point in the 1990s that they did not cohere anymore--and people stopped buying Eddie's vision--which was "respect the wind" --some new-age rock vibe. So, Eddie went back to the simpler and direct stuff. Proven formula. But, I am more interested in hearing new Van Halen music that pushes the envelope while rocking out. __________________________________________________ | |
