Description: The twelfth video I've made! (In which this is merely fanmade, and thusly I do not own the music or the anime used...) Anime: Fruits Basket Song: Hey Jude Artist: Joe Anderson Note: Keep in mind that the first 15 seconds are SUPPOSE to be just sound. I thought it made it seem more dramatic... OMG, I've wanted to work with this song for SOOO long now, ever since I heard just that snipet in the Across the Universe trailer, but I had to wait until a few days ago to get the soundtrack T_T. But as soon as I got this song, I went right to work and started on this. At first I was surprised that no one has done a variation of this song, (like the Beatles original), with this anime, but then while I was making it I realized that this was a lot harder than I anticipated. 0_o I have to say, though, I'm happy with the result. ^_^ The basic idea behind this one is pretty much the idea of the actual story--Kyo is ashamed of his true form, and fears that his loved ones will leave him if they know of it. After the beginning where he ran from Tohru when she saw him, it starts with when Kyo first realized he might have feelings for her. Second part pretains to, though Kyo knows Tohru is sad, he doesn't know how to react to it, as his life has denied him of being close to anyone, (so he tries to "play it cool", when really his inner self wants to help). In the third part, this is pretty literal and metaphoric--He is remembering his childhood, and the one person who told him it would all be okay, and also his inner self is saying to not deny Tohru's friendship even though he believes she'll leave him. Now, in the "Better" portion, the song escalates, portraying all the people who ever tried to make him feel loved or even bothered to care about who he is, rather than what he is, (for, mostly all of the Sohma family denied him), and also him questioning their motives, (where kyo's image flashes at the first "angrier" better). In the ending chorus, it goes from his childhood, to when he met Tohru, to when he took care of her, to when he first really smiled at her, to finally when his original form was revealed. And so, there you have it. This video I know isn't the best for a streaming vid, because of all the transitions, but oh well. You get the point. ^^ |
