DrZarkloff ::: Favorites I never put any ice around my neck. My throat hurt mostly after drinking or eating the baby food, therefore I didn't eat a lot for the first week. I lost ten pounds. DrZarkloff ::: Favorites I was able to go back to work after my tenth day. I hope that you do well. Ignoring the pain is difficult. Just imagine that you'll feel so much better in just a couple of weeks. Also, it helps if you put your ice cream in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before eating it. DrZarkloff ::: Favorites My doctor told me that I did very well as adult tonsilectomy patients go. I was able to talk right away without any problems. However, the pain medicine was rough on my stomach, so I had to discontinue taking it after the third day. From then on, I drank bland liquids. I found that drinking coffee as a chaser helped to neutralize acidic foods, though I didn't dare try citrus. chrissi06 ::: Favorites So I just had my tonsilectomy and adenoidectomy yesturday. I don't understand how you can talk because it is so difficult for me to. It hurts so bad! Swollowing is even more painful. You are fully healed by now right? Have you been eating rougher foods and citrus without any pain or bleeding?
