| conjigalo ::: Favorites yeah you are correct about it being 16ths. but i only realised after it was up, so i can't change it unfortunately. it sounds a lot better now and i go into groups of five too. thanks for the comment. 07-08-15 16:38:46 __________________________________________________ | |
| Henw ::: Favorites Sounded pretty good! Try playing your kicks with a bit more conviction though. And I'm pretty sure your feet were grooving to sixteenths but you accented it to give a triplet feel which sounded better. Nice work. 07-08-15 14:54:42 __________________________________________________ | |
| a7xJamba ::: Favorites hey , thanks for the comment ! ure amazing , luv the video ..I'll try learning some more stuff , I don't have patience which is really bad , especially when learning drums lol 07-08-09 17:03:29 __________________________________________________ | |
| conjigalo ::: Favorites ha ha. i wish i could, my left foot can't do doubles very fast. but i always find singles cleaner with feet and will use them more than doubles. thanks for the comment! 07-07-01 19:50:30 __________________________________________________ | |
| toenailsmcgee ::: Favorites try doing 16 note doubles as triplets. acenting every third note while keeping it a strict rr ll pattern. way hard to do in a groove 07-07-01 18:09:19 __________________________________________________ | |
| conjigalo ::: Favorites if it doesn't sound mechanical how should it sound? out of time? and i thought i would show how to play it so that other ppl might take something away from it and add something to their drumming. as for conviction in the strokes, they aren't perfect but i don't see you doing anything better! 07-06-26 18:37:29 __________________________________________________ | |
| spikemytea ::: Favorites VERy mechanical, and it sounds as if you have no conviction in the strokes. and what's with the i'm-a-drum-teacher attitude? lol 07-06-26 15:27:19 __________________________________________________ | |
| conjigalo ::: Favorites yeah i love thomas lang! i got this idea from a similar virgil donati thing though. those guys are amazing. putting a polyrhythm in a beat with a 4/4 back beat for the band to follow makes really dynamic music and is great to listen to. THANKS for the comment! 07-06-11 10:19:16 __________________________________________________ | |
| andraxcdd ::: Favorites Cool man! You a Thomas Lang fan by chance? He does a lot of different time signature ostinato's with his feet and sticks a 4/4 groove over the top and they just sound great. 07-06-09 01:06:40 __________________________________________________ | |
| priority666 ::: Favorites this is well cool i wish i knew you lol 07-05-04 15:29:16 __________________________________________________ | |
| alright28 ::: Favorites very nice groove! although i think your feet are not playing 16th note triplets but 16th notes in which you accent every 3 of them, so you have a 3 over 4 polyrythm.. very nice, try playing the same pattern but with another sticking on feet, like left-right-right or right-left-left instead of right-left-right. it may seem more natural sounding to you, at least it does for me.. cheers! 07-04-27 19:17:41 __________________________________________________ | |
| YodaIsVader ::: Favorites You're welcome. :) Sounds about right to me. Getting the pattern, and then repeating without having to think about it. Kind of sounds like what I do. I've tried drums, they are harder than I thought they would be. 07-04-16 01:06:00 __________________________________________________ | |
| conjigalo ::: Favorites Hey! thanks for the comments! when i do a polyrhythm i try to master each stage individualy so that i don't need to think about doing it anymore. so the hand pattern is easy, and i don't need to think about it anymore. Then i just try to add the remaining components! 07-04-02 06:59:19 __________________________________________________ | |
| YodaIsVader ::: Favorites Cool. I could never do that. Sweet drum kit. Do you count in your head, or do you just go by "feel" and keep the rhythm so that it sounds right to you? I play guitar BTW. I play by feel. 07-04-01 19:58:58 __________________________________________________ | |
