| TheRedFear ::: Favorites This was NOT attempted rape. It may have been intended to be, but it wasn't. Buffy spent the entire year playing "No means make me take it and like it big blonde dady" with Spike. If it took him a few minutes to realize that for once, 'No' actually meant 'No', you can't really call that attempted rape. Buffy was in no condition to fight him off if he had REALLY wanted to rape her. Oh the scene was well acted, but put in context of the whole season, it really just didn't make sense. 07-08-01 17:43:05 _____________________________________________________ | |

| iluvlafferty ::: Favorites I think this whole scene is ridiculous, considering it's depicting Spike as the villain, whereas throughout most of S6, he was victim to Buffy using him to 'feel something, anything'. Rape is a terrible thing but try as I might, I just can't feel sorry for her here because Spike just wanted to be loved by her all along and she treated him really bad in this season. 07-08-02 12:01:33 _____________________________________________________ | |

| lilsis10000 ::: Favorites Yeah but Spike knew Buffy was using him the whole time. He even told her he wasn't complaining about it. He took it way too far, she was screaming and running away...he was SO NOT the victim. 07-08-03 03:33:50 _____________________________________________________ | |
| iluvlafferty ::: Favorites Yeah I know he wasn't the victim this time, but that's what I hate about this whole scene. He WAS the victim out of the two most of the season, and then this scene makes it seem like Buffy was always just being harassed by him. And Spike, at the end of the day, was still just a soulless vampire, she should have known better than to just treat him like he was a regular boyfriend all that time. I'm not condoning Spike's behaviour at all, but I'm not excusing Buffy's either before this. 07-08-03 10:01:09 _____________________________________________________ | |
| TheRedFear ::: Favorites Neither of them were victims. She spent the whole season playing "No means Yes" with him. You can't call him a rapist if it took his souless ass a minute to realize that for the first time all season, No actually meant No. Buffy didn't stop him with the kick. She was injured. On her best day they've evenly matched. If he'd wanted to force her, she could not have stopped him. All the kick did was make him see she really meant no for once. At which point he stopped. So it wasn't attempted rape. 07-08-03 16:58:49 _____________________________________________________ | |

| thecolthasfallen1 ::: Favorites I pretty much think its useless to argue about a show. But if this had happened in real life I would be on spikes side. And Im a girl. 07-08-03 21:41:55 _____________________________________________________ | |
