| jakeobrown ::: Favorites wish the audio was better 07-06-09 21:28:08 _____________________________________________________ | |
| cpthornman ::: Favorites The highest note is a C. The E at the end is an optional note. Since it is covered in the orchestra. But if you can get the E more power to you. 07-06-08 13:11:59 _____________________________________________________ | |
| OhioChub ::: Favorites as far as I'm concerned, it's the C that is the optional note..no sense in doing the piece if you are going to cheat and play the C 07-06-18 23:17:05 _____________________________________________________ | |
| hornhansl ::: Favorites In the whole concert the first horn player has to play the e3 three times, the c3 30 times! 07-06-07 11:00:37 _____________________________________________________ | |
| AFHmod7 ::: Favorites nope its not E flat but E..same pitch to A5 in the piano 07-06-05 02:17:06 _____________________________________________________ | |
| parzenbua ::: Favorites does anybody know the highest note of the first horns part? 07-06-02 18:14:12 _____________________________________________________ | |
| penguinajb ::: Favorites i beleive its a high E flat 07-06-04 00:51:43 _____________________________________________________ | |
| OhioChub ::: Favorites wrong..i looked in my score it is an E-natural...and there are 2 in the last section as well as the one at the end of the first section 07-06-18 23:16:20 _____________________________________________________ | |
| candyhearts013 ::: Favorites Of course he's playing a descant.... I played this with my quartet- and although I played third part,I know the first part is extremely high- even for high-horn players. It'll wear your chops out really fast. A descant is the best (and most logical) way to go playing first part. 07-05-29 12:59:04 _____________________________________________________ | |
| SiegfriedHorner ::: Favorites candys...: If you're addressing my comment, I have stated that I believe he is using a shorter horn. HOWEVER, that's not to say that the highest parts cannot be played well on a traditional F/Bb double horn. I know of those who have done so, including myself. Indeed, the original players did not have the advantage of the modern double deskant horn. 07-05-29 14:17:05 _____________________________________________________ | |
| saywhat0319 ::: Favorites heeeyy our high school full orchestra played this a few weeks ago, and we sound almost exactly the same! 07-05-28 22:33:52 _____________________________________________________ | |
